Lucknow, Oct 13 (INB) The fifth phase of admissions against vacant seats in government Industrial Training Institutes (ITIs) in Uttar Pradesh for the 2026-27 academic session has begun, with candidates required to submit their rank cards between October 13 and 15, the state government said on Monday. According to an official statement, the selection process will be completed by October 16, while the details of all admitted candidates must be uploaded and verified on the State Council for Vocational Training (SCVT) portal by midnight on October 17. Special Secretary, Vocational Education, Skill Development and Entrepreneurship Department, and SCVT Executive Director Abhishek Singh has issued detailed guidelines for the admission process, the statement said. Candidates who registered in the earlier phases but were not selected, as well as those submitting fresh online applications, will be considered for seats remaining vacant after the fourth phase, it said. Candidates can download their rank cards through the ‘Rank for Fifth Phase’ link on the SCVT website, www.scvtup.in, by entering their registration number and date of birth. They must print and sign the rank cards before submitting them at the designated nodal government ITI in their respective districts between October 13 and 15, according to the statement. Seat allocation will prioritise candidates registered up to the fourth phase who remained unselected. Fresh applicants will be considered for the remaining vacant seats based on merit, it said. The district-level selection committees will finalise the list of selected candidates by October 16, and the list will be displayed on the notice boards of the respective institutions, the statement added. The government has directed ITI principals to verify candidates’ original educational certificates, caste certificates and other relevant documents before granting admission. Institutions must also upload and verify the details of admitted candidates on the SCVT portal within the prescribed deadline, it said. The government said the additional admission phase aims to provide more young people access to technical and vocational training aligned with industry requirements, improving their prospects for employment and self-employment.
