KLAY appoints Abhishek Joshi as CEO to accelerate growth in early childhood education

Bengaluru, Jun 26 (INB) Early child education and daycare services provider KLAY has appointed Abhishek Joshi as its Chief Executive Officer (CEO), the company said on Friday.
Joshi takes charge at a time when early childhood education has emerged as a key focus area under India’s education agenda.
His mandate includes strengthening KLAY’s integrated model of learning, care and parenting support while positioning the organisation as a comprehensive early childhood ecosystem.
The company said its long-term vision is to make high-quality early education accessible to more Indian families, citing research that nearly 90 per cent of a child’s brain development takes place before the age of six.
Joshi brings more than two decades of leadership experience across consumer-facing businesses. Before joining KLAY, he held senior leadership roles at Licious, Jubilant FoodWorks (Domino’s India), Hindustan Unilever (HUL) and GCMMF (Amul), where he led business transformation, category development and customer growth initiatives. He is an alumnus of the Institute of Rural Management Anand (IRMA) and holds a B.Tech degree from Govind Ballabh Pant University.

Announcing the appointment, Sandeep Reddy, Chairman of Founding Years Learning Solutions, said India is at a pivotal stage in recognising the importance of the early years in a child’s development. He expressed confidence that Joshi’s experience in building trusted consumer brands would help KLAY expand its reach while maintaining high standards of quality.
Commenting on his appointment, Joshi said KLAY has earned the trust of parents over the years and that his focus would be on extending that trust to more families by ensuring children receive a strong foundation during their formative years.
Founded in 2011, KLAY operates more than 180 self-managed preschool and daycare centres across over 20 Indian cities. The organisation has served more than 80,000 families and partners with over 500 corporate organisations to provide early childhood education and childcare services. It employs more than 3,500 professionals across its network.
