New Delhi, Jul 10 (INB) The Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Delhi on Friday hosted the CSR Conclave 2026 on the theme “Environment & Sustainability”, bringing together more than 245 representatives from industry, corporate social responsibility (CSR) foundations, public sector enterprises, government organisations, NGOs and academia to strengthen partnerships for sustainable development.
The conclave, organised by the institute’s Corporate Relations Office, aimed to promote industry-academia collaboration and encourage CSR investments in research and technology-driven solutions addressing national priorities, IIT Delhi said in a statement.
During the event, IIT Delhi launched a CSR Project Compendium featuring research and social impact projects seeking CSR support, along with a CSR Impact Stories booklet highlighting outcomes of CSR-funded initiatives undertaken by the institute in recent years.
The publications were released by IIT Delhi Director Prof. Rangan Banerjee in the presence of Deputy Director (Strategy and Planning) Prof. Vivek Buwa, Dean of Corporate Relations Prof. Jayant Jain and Dean of Research and Development Prof. Ashwini Agrawal.
Banerjee said India’s journey towards sustainable and inclusive development requires stronger partnerships among academia, industry, government and civil society. He said strategic CSR collaborations would help accelerate the translation of research into scalable solutions with societal benefits.
The institute also presented CSR Excellence Awards to corporate partners for their contribution to research, innovation, infrastructure development and social impact through CSR collaborations with IIT Delhi.
According to the institute, the conclave witnessed participation from corporate leaders and CSR professionals, reflecting growing interest in partnering with IIT Delhi on technology-led solutions for environmental sustainability and national development.
