New Delhi, Jul 23 (INB) The National Testing Agency (NTA) has extended the compulsory internship completion cut-off date for candidates appearing in the All India Ayush Post Graduate Entrance Test (AIAPGET) from August 31 to October 31, 2026 for Ayurveda, Siddha, Unani and Homoeopathy courses, according to official notification. The decision follows representations from candidates and recommendations received from the National Commission for Indian System of Medicine (NCISM) and the National Commission for Homoeopathy (NCH). The AIAPGET 2026 application process will continue till July 30, 2026 (9:00 p.m.), while all other eligibility conditions and the examination schedule remain unchanged, according to an official notification. NTA said it received a large number of representations from candidates requesting an extension of the prescribed internship completion deadline after the registration process commenced. Acting on communications from the NCISM and NCH, the agency revised the internship completion cut-off date to October 31, 2026, for candidates seeking admission to postgraduate AYUSH courses in Ayurveda, Siddha, Unani and Homoeopathy for the 2026-27 academic session. The testing agency clarified that all other provisions, eligibility criteria, examination schedule and instructions mentioned in the AIAPGET 2026 public notice issued on July 10 and the Information Bulletin will remain unchanged. Candidates have been advised to complete their online application before the registration deadline and regularly visit the official website www.nta.ac.in for updates related to AIAPGET 2026.
