New Delhi, Jul 24 (INB) XLRI Delhi-NCR on Friday said it has inducted a new batch of students into its AICTE-approved Post Graduate Diploma in Management – Innovation, Entrepreneurship and Venture Development (PGDM-IEV) programme.
The programs are aimed at nurturing entrepreneurs through experiential learning, incubation, mentorship and industry engagement, the institution said.
The new cohort was welcomed through a three-day orientation programme featuring keynote addresses by Pine Labs (SETU) Chief Revenue Officer Ramkumar Thirumurty and MakeMyTrip Founder and Chairman Deep Kalra, who shared insights on entrepreneurship, innovation, fintech, artificial intelligence and building technology-driven businesses.
The orientation programme introduced students to XLRI’s academic ecosystem and India’s startup landscape through sessions on fundraising, venture capital, Startup India, NITI Aayog initiatives, Jagriti Yatra and campus support systems.
According to the institute, the two-year PGDM-IEV programme is designed for aspiring entrepreneurs, family business leaders and early-stage professionals. It combines classroom learning with live projects, internships, founder interactions, startup conclaves, industry visits and investor engagement. Students will also have access to XLRI’s entrepreneurship ecosystem, XCEED, which provides mentorship, incubation support, networking opportunities and access to funding avenues. XLRI said the programme has supported ventures across sectors including agritech, artificial intelligence, consumer brands, edtech and clean energy, with students showcasing startups before investors through Demo Day and incubation initiatives. Addressing the incoming batch, XLRI Delhi-NCR Director Fr. Antony R. Uvari said entrepreneurship should focus on creating societal value alongside building successful enterprises. Dean (Academics) Prof. Munish Thakur expressed hope that the programme would cultivate entrepreneurial thinking and equip students to drive meaningful change. The institute said the new cohort reflects its continued commitment to developing entrepreneurial leaders capable of building innovative, sustainable and impact-driven ventures.
