New Delhi, Aug 28 (INB) The Govt’s High-Powered Task Force has invited suggestions from students, parents, teachers, academic institutions and other stakeholders on reforms to strengthen the country’s public examination system, including examinations conducted by the National Testing Agency (NTA), according to an official statement on Friday.
The High-Powered Task Force (HPTF), chaired by Nandan Nilekani, has been constituted to recommend comprehensive reforms in the conduct, security, design and governance of public examinations, it stated. The task force is examining measures to improve examination integrity and security, deploy appropriate technologies, strengthen examination infrastructure, promote accessibility and inclusion, and safeguard student well-being to build a robust, transparent and future-ready examination system. The government has sought public feedback on areas including examination security, assessment methodology, governance and accountability, prevention of malpractices, computer-based testing, infrastructure, grievance redressal, transparency and student well-being. The inputs received through the nationwide consultation will help the task force formulate its recommendations to the government for reforms in the public examination system.
