Lucknow, Sept 8 (INB) Two students of City Montessori School (CMS) Rajajipuram Campus have won gold medals at the District Yogasana Championship-2026 and qualified for the upcoming state-level championship, the school said on Monday.
The students, Jyotsna Yadav and Divyansh Pandey, won gold medals in the senior category at the district-level competition organised by the Yogasana Sports Foundation, Uttar Pradesh, CMS Head of Communications Rishi Khanna said. Students from several schools in Lucknow participated in the championship, he said, adding that the two CMS students displayed their yogic skills and physical fitness amid tough competition. “Both students have secured their selection for the upcoming State-Level Championship through their excellent performance at the district-level championship,” Khanna said. CMS Founder-Director Bharti Gandhi congratulated the students and appreciated the teachers who guided and encouraged them, according to the school. Khanna said CMS encourages students to excel in diverse fields according to their interests, enabling them to participate in competitions beyond academics. He said the school considers yoga an integral part of India’s cultural heritage and believes that familiarising young people with yogic practices is important for promoting a healthy society.
