Dehradun, Sept 30 (INB) IIT Roorkee Director Prof K K Pant and senior experts met Uttarakhand Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami to discuss sustainability initiatives and the institute’s role as a knowledge partner in supporting the state’s sustainable development goals.
The meeting also included Prof Ajay Sood, Principal Scientific Adviser to the Government of India, Shivakumar Kalyanraman, CEO of the Anusandhan National Research Foundation (ANRF), and Prof Anil Joshi of HESCO, IIT Roorkee said in a LinkedIn post issued on Tuesday.
The discussions focused on leveraging IIT Roorkee’s research, technological expertise and academic capabilities to strengthen sustainability efforts in Uttarakhand.
The Gross Environment Product (GEP) framework was among the areas discussed during the meeting, the institute said.
IIT Roorkee said it remains committed to contributing research-driven knowledge and innovative solutions aimed at supporting a sustainable and resilient Uttarakhand.
