New Delhi, Oct 2 (INB) The Centre for Responsible AI (CeRAI) at the Indian Institute of Technology Madras will host the Industry Conclave on AI Governance 2026 on October 22 to deliberate on the theme “AI Measurement and Governance”.
The conclave will bring together stakeholders from academia, industry, startups, policymaking and practice, the IIT Madras said in a LinkedIn post on Thursday. According to premier institute, the conclave will examine the need for robust and context-specific approaches to measuring aspects such as fairness, safety, robustness, privacy and security as AI technologies move increasingly from research environments into real-world applications.
The event will feature keynote addresses, CeRAI research highlights, lightning talks, a fireside chat and a panel discussion focusing on consumer rights, the institute said. The programme will also include hands-on workshops and an AI startup showcase, providing participants an opportunity to engage with research, industry applications and emerging approaches to responsible AI deployment.
The conclave will be held from 9 am to 5:30 pm at the TTJ Auditorium and Halls 1-4, ICSR, IIT Madras. IIT Madras said the event will bring together thought leaders and practitioners to discuss how measurement can serve as a foundation for effective AI governance and responsible deployment of the technology.
