New Delhi, Sept 29 (INB) IIT Delhi hosted a high-level delegation from the European Parliament led by Raffaele Stancanelli on September 22 to discuss strengthening scientific and technological cooperation between India and the European Union, it said.
The interaction began with a welcome address by Prof Vivek Buwa, Deputy Director, Strategy and Planning and Director-in-Charge, who highlighted the institute’s commitment to advancing global research partnerships, IIT Delhi said in a LinkedIn post issued on Tuesday. Following introductory remarks by Stancanelli, Prof Anil Verma, Dean of International Relations, gave an overview of the institute’s research strengths, innovation ecosystem and international exchange frameworks.
The meeting featured a roundtable discussion on expanding cooperation in areas including clean energy, industrial innovation and joint research initiatives between Indian and European academic institutions, the institute said. The interaction provided an opportunity to explore avenues for strengthening academic and research linkages between IIT Delhi and institutions in Europe, it added.
