New Delhi, June 26 (INB) The Indian Council of Social Science Research (ICSSR) has invited online applications from Indian scholars for its Senior Fellowship Scheme for the financial year 2026–2027.
According to the notification, the online application process commenced on June 22, 2026, and will remain open until July 21, 2026. Interested candidates can submit their applications through the official ICSSR website.
ICSSR has advised applicants to carefully read the fellowship guidelines before filling out the online application form. The research proposal must be submitted only in the prescribed format provided within the application form, and no separate research proposal will be accepted.
Applicants are also encouraged to complete the registration process well before the deadline to avoid last-minute technical issues or heavy traffic on the portal.
The application form can be completed in either English or Hindi. For applications submitted in Hindi, Arial/Mangal Unicode font should be used for Devanagari script.
The Council said that affiliating institutions should forward applications only for candidates who meet the minimum eligibility criteria specified in the detailed guidelines for ICSSR fellowship schemes.
ICSSR clarified that applications will be accepted only through the online mode, and no hard copies of the application documents are required to be submitted.
