Lucknow, Jun 29 (INB) Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has appealed to parents, teachers and citizens to ensure every child is enrolled in school as the state launches the second phase of its School Chalo Abhiyan from July 1.
In an open letter titled “Yogi Ki Paati”, the chief minister said the campaign aims to achieve 100 per cent enrolment from Classes 1 to 12, bring school dropouts back into classrooms and accelerate admissions for the new academic session.
Describing education as the greatest asset in life, Adityanath said schools are the foundation for nurturing knowledge, values, character and personality, and called upon society to collectively ensure that no child is deprived of education.
He highlighted several initiatives undertaken by the state government to improve school education, including Project Alankar for infrastructure development, Operation Kayakalp, Mission Prerna and the Kasturba Gandhi Balika Vidyalaya scheme to enhance the quality of education and learning outcomes.
The chief minister also urged parents not to judge children solely by examination marks but to encourage regular school attendance and participation in sports and extracurricular activities for their overall development.
Referring to the Bal Vatika initiative, Adityanath encouraged parents to enrol children aged three to six years in pre-primary classes to strengthen foundational learning.
Calling upon citizens to transform the School Chalo Abhiyan into a mass movement, the chief minister urged people to help identify and enrol children who are still out of school, saying Uttar Pradesh’s future depends on ensuring quality education for every child.
