CMS students win gold medals at All India Karate Championship

Lucknow, Sept 9 (INB) Two students of City Montessori School (CMS), Station Road Campus, have won gold medals at the 3rd World Modern Shotokan Karate Federation (WMSKF) All India Karate Championship, the school said.
CMS students Vanshika Singh Lodhi and Akshat Singh secured the top honours at the championship, which was jointly organised by the World Modern Shotokan Karate Federation and its Uttar Pradesh unit, according to a statement issued by the school.
Rishi Khanna, Head, Communications, CMS, said students from several prestigious schools participated in the championship and showcased their karate skills. He said the CMS students emerged winners amid tough competition, demonstrating sporting ability, agility, skill and determination. CMS Founder-Director Dr Bharti Gandhi congratulated the medal winners and wished them success in their future endeavours, the statement said on Tuesday. Khanna said CMS students have been bringing laurels to the school at national and international levels in academics as well as sports and other co-curricular activities. The school is committed to the overall development of students and provides opportunities and training to help them excel in sports and co-curricular activities, he added.
