MeitY-backed academies to hold online FDP on blockchain security from July 21

New Delhi, Jul 2 (INB) Electronics and ICT Academies under the Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology (MeitY) will organise a 40-hour online faculty development programme on blockchain security and performance from July 21. The programme, scheduled from July 21 to July 31, will be conducted jointly by the Electronics and ICT Academies with experts from PDPM IIITDM Jabalpur, IIT Roorkee, IIT Kanpur, NIT Patna and Malaviya National Institute of Technology (MNIT) Jaipur. According to the organisers, the course aims to provide participants with an understanding of blockchain security, scalability and performance challenges, while covering emerging technologies and practical applications in the blockchain ecosystem. The curriculum includes blockchain fundamentals and Web3, Bitcoin architecture and mining security, cryptographic foundations, Ethereum and smart contracts, smart contract vulnerabilities, consensus protocols, Hyperledger Fabric, privacy-preserving blockchains, quantum attacks and post-quantum security, and blockchain applications in fintech and electric vehicle ISO 15118 security. The organisers said the programme is open to faculty members, doctoral scholars, researchers, industry professionals, and blockchain, cybersecurity and Web3 enthusiasts. The online sessions will be held daily from 10:30 am to 12:30 pm and 2 pm to 4 pm. The last date for registration is July 18. The registration fee has been fixed at Rs 885 for faculty members and students, Rs 1,770 for industry professionals, and USD 60 for international participants.
