Ajmer (Rajasthan), Oct 5 (INB) RIE Ajmer will host a national conference on holistic development and adolescent well-being on December 3-4, focusing on health, mental well-being, inclusion, digital wellness and sustainable development, the NCERT-linked body said. Organised by the National Population Education Project (NPEP) Cell of RIE Ajmer, the conference will bring together researchers, teacher educators, policymakers, school teachers, counsellors, students and other stakeholders to discuss research, innovative practices, policies and school-based interventions, it said in a notice on its website. The Regional Institute of Education (RIE) Ajmer, a constituent unit of the National Council of Educational Research and Training (NCERT), said the conference will cover seven themes, including policy perspectives on adolescent development, nutrition and physical health, mental and socio-emotional well-being, inclusion, gender and diversity, digital wellness and responsible technology use, environmental literacy and climate resilience, and empowering adolescents through education, skills and innovation.
Abstracts were invited from researchers, educators, policymakers, administrators, school teachers, counsellors, social workers, students and other stakeholders for original research and innovative practices related to the National Population Education Project and the conference themes, it said.
The abstract submission process has concluded, and the submitted abstracts will be taken forward for review and finalisation. Confirmation of abstracts is scheduled for October 12, followed by submission of full-length papers by selected participants and announcement of selected papers by November 10, it added.
The conference will be held on December 3-4, 2026, at the RIE, NCERT, Ajmer, Rajasthan. There will be no registration fee for participants. RIE Ajmer will arrange accommodation for confirmed participants, while eligible travel expenses will be reimbursed subject to prescribed conditions. Confirmed participants will have to complete registration by November 15, it added.
