New Delhi, Sept 9 (INB) The National Testing Agency (NTA) has advised candidates appearing for the UGC-NET examination at centres in Delhi to plan their journeys well in advance in view of possible traffic restrictions, diversions and congestion during the upcoming BRICS Summit.
In a public notice issued on Tuesday, the NTA said the 18th BRICS Summit is scheduled to be held at Bharat Mandapam in New Delhi from September 11 to 13, following which extensive security arrangements and traffic restrictions are expected in various parts of the national capital. Although UGC-NET examination centres are not located in areas expected to be directly affected by the major restrictions, candidates travelling to the centres may face congestion, diversions and delays on certain routes, the agency said. The NTA advised candidates to plan their journey well in advance, allow sufficient travel time and check the latest traffic advisories issued by the Delhi Traffic Police and other concerned authorities before starting their journey. Candidates have also been asked to reach their examination centres well before the reporting time mentioned on their admit cards. The advisory comes as the UGC-NET June 2026 re-examination is being conducted in Delhi on September 9 and 10. The NTA’s UGC-NET portal has also listed the re-examination and the related admit-card notices. The agency urged candidates to strictly follow the reporting time and other instructions mentioned on their admit cards and make appropriate travel arrangements to avoid inconvenience or delays.
