Prayagraj, Aug 20 (INB) The Uttar Pradesh Education Service Selection Commission (UPESSC) has extended the deadline for applications for principal posts in non-government aided co-educational and women’s degree colleges under Advertisement No. 02/2026, according to an official statement. The last date for online application and fee payment has been extended from August 20 to August 27, 2026, the commission said in a statement on Tuesday. The commission has also extended the deadline for making corrections in submitted online applications. The correction window, earlier scheduled to close on August 23, will now remain open until August 30, 2026. The changes were made after the commission received objections through various channels following publication of Advertisement No. 02/2026 on July 21, it stated. As part of the amendment, the commission has deleted Clause 07(b) – duration, and Clause 10 – preference, from the advertisement. The UPESSC clarified that the advertisement for the principal posts will be treated as amended to the extent specified in the corrigendum, it added. However, the written examination will be conducted on the previously scheduled date of September 24, 2026, the commission said. Candidates who intend to apply or modify their applications are advised to take note of the revised deadlines and refer to the official UPESSC notification for detailed information. The commission’s corrigendum forms the basis for the revised schedule.
