Lucknow, Sept 25 (INB) The Uttar Pradesh Education Service Selection Commission conducted the written examination for recruitment to principal posts in aided colleges at two centres in Lucknow on Thursday, with 722 of 813 registered candidates appearing, the commission said. The examination under Advertisement No. 02/2026 was held in the first shift from 9:30 am to 11:30 am, the commission said in a statement issued on Thursday. The commission said its AI-integrated Control Command Room monitored the examination centres, with the chairman, members, secretary, examination controller and deputy secretary overseeing the proceedings. AI-enabled cameras installed at the centres were also used to continuously monitor candidates’ activities. The examination was conducted in a transparent, cheating-free and orderly manner and concluded on schedule, the commission said, adding that the district administration and police provided support for its smooth conduct. Of the 813 registered candidates, 722 appeared, recording an overall attendance of 88.81 per cent. The attendance rate among women candidates was 90.36 per cent, while male candidates recorded an attendance of 88.36 per cent, it said.
