New Delhi, Aug 6 (INB) CBSE has launched an online series on Computational Thinking and Artificial Intelligence for teachers and students, with registrations now open for the eight-session programme, according to a board circular. The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE), in collaboration with the Centre for Creative Learning (CCL), IIT Gandhinagar, said the “3030 Eklavya – Computational Thinking (CT) and Artificial Intelligence (AI)” online series will commence on August 15. The initiative is aimed at building AI-ready learners by strengthening computational thinking, logical reasoning, pattern recognition, problem-solving and understanding of artificial intelligence among school students. According to the circular issued on Wednesday, the programme is open to teachers and students of Classes 6 and above. Participation is voluntary, while registration is free but mandatory. CBSE said the series follows the rollout of the Curriculum Framework for Computational Thinking and Artificial Intelligence for Classes 3 to 8 and is part of the board’s efforts to promote AI literacy in schools. A total of eight live sessions will be conducted. The first episode, “Computational Thinking and AI with Matchboxes”, will be held on August 15 at 4 pm, while the remaining sessions will be streamed every Sunday at 4 pm. The board said the live sessions will be conducted in Hindi with English subtitles. Teachers of CBSE-affiliated schools completing the prescribed requirements will be eligible for Continuing Professional Development (CPD) hours, while participation and competency certificates will also be issued as per programme norms.
