IIT Delhi launches applied quantum computing and AI certification; applications open till Oct 15

New Delhi, Jul 15 (INB) The Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Delhi has opened admissions for a 6.5-month online certification programme in Applied Quantum Computing and AI, with applications open till October 15 and classes scheduled to begin on October 17. The programme, offered through Interview Bit Software Services Pvt Ltd (Varsity) under the institute’s eVIDYA initiative, is aimed at engineers, scientists and quantitative professionals seeking advanced training in quantum computing, quantum algorithms, post-quantum cryptography and quantum-AI convergence. According to the programme details, the curriculum has been developed by faculty members from the Department of Computer Science and Engineering at IIT Delhi and is divided into four phases, covering mathematical foundations, qubit programming, NISQ hardware, quantum error correction and hybrid quantum-AI systems. Participants will receive hands-on training using Qiskit on IBM Quantum hardware and learn to implement quantum algorithms such as Shor’s, Grover’s, Quantum Approximate Optimization Algorithm (QAOA) and Variational Quantum Eigensolver (VQE). The programme will also cover post-quantum cryptography under the NIST PQC framework and applications across finance, cybersecurity, healthcare and logistics. The online programme will run from October 17, 2026, to April 10, 2027. The total programme fee has been fixed at Rs 2.5 lakh plus 18 per cent GST.
