Kanpur, Sept 28 (INB) The 2 UP CTR NCC Unit at IIT Kanpur underwent its Annual Technical and Administrative Inspection by Brigadier P K Shastri, Group Commander, NCC Group Headquarters, Kanpur, the institute said on Monday.
The inspection covered the unit’s training activities, cadet enrolment, institutional programmes, examinations, camps, administrative preparedness and social service initiatives, the Institute said in an official LinkedIn post.
Colonel Varun Singhal, Commanding Officer of 2 UP CTR NCC, IIT Kanpur, briefed the Group Commander on the functioning and activities of the unit. During the inspection, Shastri reviewed training arrangements and interacted with NCC instructors, cadets and staff members. The discussions focused on maintaining standards of discipline, turnout, drill and overall conduct, it added.
The inspection also covered official records, training documentation, cadet-related data, stores and inventory, correspondence and examination-related documents. The unit presented its social service and community development initiatives undertaken by NCC cadets, it stated. Shastri appreciated the work undertaken by the commanding officer, instructors, staff and cadets and encouraged the unit to maintain high standards of training and administration while providing cadets opportunities for their overall development.
