New Delhi, Aug 21 (INB) India and Russia discussed potential areas of mutual interest in higher education and reaffirmed their intent to strengthen cooperation between the two countries, the Ministry of Education said on Friday. Secretary, Department of Higher Education, Deepti Gaur Mukherjee, held an interaction with Dr Mogilevsky Konstantin Ilyich, Deputy Minister of Science and Higher Education of the Russian Federation, on August 20, the ministry said in an X post. “Both sides discussed potential areas of mutual interest and reaffirmed their intent to strengthen higher education cooperation between the two countries,” the ministry said. The interaction comes as India and Russia seek to further expand academic engagement and cooperation in the higher education sector. The discussions are expected to provide a platform for exploring areas of collaboration and strengthening institutional and academic ties between the two countries, according to the ministry.
