Prayagraj, Sept 7 (INB) The Uttar Pradesh Education Service Selection Commission (UPESSC) has commenced the online application process for the Special Teacher Eligibility Test (Special TET) 2026 for teachers working under the Basic Education Department and special educators teaching children with special needs (CWSN), it said.
Applications can be submitted through the one-time registration (OTR)-based online system. The application process began on September 5, while the last date for depositing the application fee is October 4, 2026, according to a UPESSC notification issued on September 5. Candidates will be allowed to make corrections in their submitted applications till October 8, according to the notification. The Special TET examination is scheduled to be conducted on November 3, 2026.
The commission said the examination is meant for eligible teachers working in the Basic Education Department as well as special teachers dealing with children with special needs. Eligible candidates have been advised to complete the OTR process and submit their applications through the commission’s designated online portal, apply.upessc.org. The UPESSC has also advised applicants to carefully read the detailed advertisement and fulfil all eligibility requirements before submitting their applications, it added.
