Lucknow, Sep 14 (INB) CMS (City Montessori School) Class 11 student Tejaswi Jaiswal of Mahanagar Campus has secured first position in a regional shooting championship held in Gorakhpur, the school said on Monday.
The competition was organised under the aegis of the Council for the Indian School Certificate Examinations (CISCE), CMS Head of Communications Rishi Khanna said. Students from several schools across Uttar Pradesh participated in the championship, he said.
Jaiswal displayed technical proficiency in shooting, along with strong breath, movement and trigger control, to secure the top position amid tough competition, Khanna said. He said Jaiswal’s sporting talent, agility, skill and determination indicated her potential to compete at the national and international levels. CMS Founder-Director Bharti Gandhi congratulated Jaiswal and wished her a bright future, he said in an official statement. Khanna said CMS students had been bringing laurels to the school in academics, sports and other fields at national and international levels. He added that the school was committed to the overall development of its students and provided them opportunities and training to excel in sports and other fields.
