Prayagraj, Jul 31 (INB) The Uttar Pradesh Education Service Selection Commission (UPESSC) has announced that 42 additional candidates shortlisted for the PGT English recruitment will undergo eligibility and document verification on August 10, according to an official notice. The announcement follows a review linked to a pending case before the Allahabad High Court, the notice issued by UPESSC on Thursday stated. The commission said the recruitment pertains to 557 Post Graduate Teacher (PGT) English posts advertised under Advertisement No. 01/2022. It noted that the written examination result for candidates shortlisted for eligibility and document verification was declared earlier, and the verification process had been conducted on July 16. According to the notification, the commission, after consulting subject experts and taking a decision in connection with Writ Petition No. 9799/2026 pending before the Allahabad High Court regarding the final answer key, has decided to call 42 additional candidates for eligibility and document verification. The verification will be held at the UPESSC office in Prayagraj on August 10, 2026. The merit-wise list of shortlisted candidates has been uploaded on the commission’s official website. The commission said shortlisted candidates must upload all required certificates and documents related to eligibility, reservation and other claims through the prescribed online portal. Admit cards for document verification are available for download from July 30, along with detailed instructions on the commission’s website. UPESSC also clarified that the final selection result for the 557 PGT English posts will be declared subject to the outcome of the proceedings in Writ Petition No. 9799/2026 before the Allahabad High Court.
