Mumbai, Oct 22 (INB) The Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Bombay has flagged off a 45-member student contingent from Maharashtra for Yuva Sangam Phase VII, an initiative under the Ministry of Education’s Ek Bharat Shreshtha Bharat programme, the institute said on Thursday.
The students will visit Jammu and Kashmir from October 21 to 27, 2026, with IIT Bombay serving as the nodal institute and the National Institute of Technology (NIT) Srinagar as its exchange partner, according to the institute’s social media post.
The programme aims to promote national integration and cultural exchange by enabling students to experience India’s diversity through five pillars — tourism, traditions, development, people-to-people connect and technology.
Yuva Sangam provides participants an opportunity to explore the region’s cultural heritage, developmental initiatives and technological progress while fostering interaction and understanding among young people from different parts of the country.
