UP govt directs 100 pc data entry of Balvatika students on U-DISE Plus portal

Lucknow, Oct 14 (INB) The Uttar Pradesh government has directed officials to complete 100 per cent entry of student-wise details of children enrolled in Balvatikas and co-located Anganwadi centres on the U-DISE Plus portal within 15 days, According to an official statement, Monika Rani, Director General of School Education and State Project Director, Samagra Shiksha, has instructed all District Basic Education Officers to ensure timely and error-free data entry. The details will be recorded in Section 4, titled ‘Student Details’, of the portal’s Student Module, in accordance with guidelines issued by the Union Ministry of Education, the statement said. Officials have also been directed to verify the information, review block-wise progress regularly and coordinate with district and block-level authorities to meet the deadline. “Systematic data on Balvatika children will help in better planning of early education and understanding the educational needs of children. The government is committed to strengthening quality early childhood education,” Minister of State (Independent Charge) for Basic Education Sandeep Singh said. Rani said, “It is being ensured that the student-wise details of children enrolled in Balvatikas are recorded 100 per cent and without errors on the U-DISE Plus portal within the prescribed time frame. All districts have been directed to complete the task within 15 days.” The exercise aims to improve the systematic recording of student information and support planning for early childhood education in the state, it added.
