Bengaluru, Sept 23 (INB) BITS Pilani Startup Hub, Bengaluru has invited applications from technology-led startups for its first Demo Day, where 12 selected startups will pitch to investors and industry leaders on October 9, it said on Wednesday.
The Demo Day will be held at Hustlehub Tech Park in HSR Layout, with applications open until October 2, the startup hub said in a press release. The event will bring together alumni founders, venture capitalists and organisations including NASSCOM, Karnataka Digital Economy Mission (KDEM) and Reserve Bank Innovation Hub (RBIH), it said. Established in January 2026, the BITS Pilani Startup Hub aims to strengthen the institute’s startup ecosystem by leveraging its alumni network in Bengaluru. The city has more than 700 BITS alumni who have founded startups and more than 30,000 BITS alumni, including CXOs and senior industry leaders, according to the release. The first Demo Day will feature alumni-founded startups at the revenue stage as well as startups graduating from the hub’s three-month first acceleration cohort. BITS Pilani Group Vice Chancellor Prof V Ramgopal Rao said the Bengaluru Startup Hub would help connect founders with alumni mentors, capital and infrastructure. The hub also announced a 12-week, on-site acceleration programme for selected startups, featuring one-on-one mentorship, strategy sessions, workshops, investor interactions and pitch refinement. A separate six-month acceleration track for deep-tech startups building hard-tech products will be limited to five startups, the release said. Founding Lead Prof Mridula Goel said the Demo Day would provide an opportunity to showcase the alumni-led accelerator to Bengaluru’s startup community and create channels for the city’s BITS alumni to reconnect with their alma mater. Startups applying for the accelerator must be registered as a private limited company or equivalent, demonstrate technological innovation with scalability potential, have at least one full-time founder and at least one BITS Pilani alumnus as a founder, according to the release. The Demo Day is scheduled for October 9 at the BITS Pilani Startup Hub, Hustlehub Tech Park, HSR Layout, Bengaluru.
