Bengaluru, Sept 23 (INB) US-based education company Imagine Learning has opened a new centre in Bengaluru as part of its long-term investment in India and expansion of its global product and technology capabilities, the company said on Wednesday.
The centre will build teams across software engineering, product, artificial intelligence, data science, cloud and platform engineering, quality engineering and cybersecurity, among other technology functions, it said. Imagine Learning is an education technology company that develops K-12 curriculum, learning and assessment solutions to support educators and students. The Bengaluru team will contribute to the development and enhancement of learning products and platforms used by educators globally, with India-based professionals taking ownership of work across product, engineering, AI and data, the company said in an official statement. “The best ideas come from bringing exceptional people together around a shared ambition. That’s what we’re building in India,” Imagine Learning Founder and CEO Jonathan Grayer said. The company said the Bengaluru centre will provide professionals opportunities to work on global education products and emerging technologies while collaborating with teams across the US, UK and Ireland. Imagine Learning develops K-12 curriculum and learning solutions, including core curriculum, courseware, supplemental and intervention programmes, assessment and school services. The company said its Curriculum-Informed AI approach combines artificial intelligence with instructional content, academic standards and research-backed teaching practices, with a focus on academic integrity, equity and student privacy. Priya Subramani, Vice President and Managing Director, Imagine Learning India, said the Bengaluru centre would help build a technology organisation with a global focus and develop products used by educators and students worldwide. Headquartered in Tempe, Arizona, Imagine Learning said it serves more than 18 million students, two million teachers and 38,000 schools across the US, reaching approximately half of all US school districts. Globally, its products are available in 60 countries with native support for more than 60 languages.
