Kasaragod, Sept 15 (INB) The Central University of Kerala organised a two-day national workshop on “Strategic Political Communication” to equip students with skills to analyse political messages, media narratives and digital campaigns, the university said on Tuesday.
The workshop was organised by the Department of International Relations of the university. The workshop featured sessions on communication, group discussion and public speaking, along with practical activities such as social media poster preparation, newspaper writing, video presentations and a mock prime-time political debate, the University said in a official LinkedIn post. Dr Arun Shyamnath, Deputy Director, Kerala State Planning Board, Thiruvananthapuram, served as the resource person. Dr Reinhart Philip, Head-in-Charge, served as the organising secretary, while Dr Prakash R. was the coordinator. Dr Gilbert Sebastian and Dr Ajay M.G. served as joint coordinators of the workshop, it added. The workshop aimed to provide students with practical exposure to political communication and help them critically engage with contemporary media and digital campaigns.
