New Delhi, Sept 18 (INB) The National Testing Agency (NTA) on Thursday declared the UGC-NET June 2026 results for English, Commerce and Sociology, with 824 candidates qualifying for Junior Research Fellowship (JRF), according to an official statement. The examination for the three subjects was conducted on September 9 and 10 at 454 centres across 272 cities in the country, the NTA said in a press release on Thursday. A total of 1,96,491 candidates had registered for the three subjects, while 1,20,355 candidates appeared for the examination, it added. The NTA said 11,610 candidates qualified for Assistant Professor, while 23,154 candidates qualified for PhD only. The question papers, provisional answer keys and recorded responses were hosted on the NTA website from September 10 to 13 to invite challenges. The challenges received were examined by experts and the results were processed on the basis of the final answer keys, it said. Candidates can check their results and view, download or print their scorecards through the official UGC-NET website ugcnet.nta.nic.in, the agency said. The NTA also clarified that eligibility criteria, self-declaration and other documents of eligible candidates will be verified by the concerned authorities as per the prescribed norms.
