Lucknow, Sept 15 (INB) The (UPESSC) Uttar Pradesh Education Services Selection Commission has issued advertisements for recruitment to 15,012 teacher posts, including assistant teachers and postgraduate teachers (PGTs) in the state’s basic and secondary education departments, the commission said. The vacancies include 897 assistant teacher posts attached to primary sections of aided secondary schools, 11,508 assistant teacher posts in urban areas under the Basic Education Department and 2,607 lecturer (PGT) posts in aided secondary schools, the commission said in a statement on Tuesday. The recruitment will be conducted through two separate advertisements, with 12,405 assistant teacher posts covered under one advertisement and 2,607 PGT posts under Advertisement No. 06/2026, it stated. For the 12,405 assistant teacher posts, online registration and applications will begin on September 16. The last date for depositing the application fee is October 15, while applications can be modified until October 19. The written examination is proposed to be held on December 3 and 4. For the 2,607 PGT posts, the online application process will begin on September 18. The last date for depositing the application fee is October 17, and applicants can make corrections until October 21. The examination is scheduled for December 15 and 16, according to the commission. The commission has made one-time registration (OTR) mandatory for candidates before applying for the advertised posts. Commission Chairman Dr Prashant Kumar advised candidates to carefully read the detailed advertisement and instructions available on the commission’s official website upessc.up.gov.in and ensure that they meet the eligibility criteria before applying. Candidates have also been advised not to wait until the last date to complete the registration and application process.
